They have destroyed a whole generation off Tamil girls.... who were supposed to build up the Tamil community. By killing these girls, they want to destroy us… from the roots.

Lately the LTTE has been winning international sympathy due to twisted stories about ''state sponsord genocide.'' If the army really wanted to destroy all the Tamils in the north they would have done it in less than a day. The aircrafts and bombs donated by Pakistan can destroy a whole town. But the SL government does care about the Tamil people and their grievances. They have been trying time and time again to help the Tamil people but the LTTE has been the barrier that is keeping them from sending engineers, doctors, nurses and other charity workers to help us. It is sad that we lost a democratic leader like Mr. Raviraj. I hope the Tamils open their eyes and put their faith in the democratic leaders who are fighting for the rights of the Tamils rather than crooked dictators like prabaharan who throws million dollar parties for his daughter in Germany with innocent Tamils' money.

The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) claimed today to have sunk 22 gun boats belonging to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). Observers noted that since the beginning of the year, the SLN has claimed to have sunk more than 300 LTTE gunboats, and destroyed dozens of Sea Tiger bases and boat yards.

"There have been over a dozen incidents at sea since the beginning of the year. Every time the navy claims to have sunk between 20 and 30 LTTE gunboats. That is a staggering 300 gun boats destroyed in a just a few months," explained political analyst DJ Jayraj.

"Additionally the Sri Lanka Air Force has claimed to have bombed out at least 50 different Sea Tiger bases and boat yards.

"If we are to assume eight LTTE cadres were on-board each gunboat that is a total of 2 400 cadres killed at sea. If we were also to assume that there were 50 cadres in each one of the bases that would have been at least another 2500 killed.

"We are talking of around 5 000 Sea Tiger cadres killed this year alone. If we are to believe Army Chief Sarath Fonseka?s estimation of the LTTE as numbering 7 000 cadres, the LTTE does not have a naval force at this point in time.

"Furthermore, where are the LTTE getting so many gunboats from? Surely 300 was the maximum number of gunboats they could have ever even dreamt of having," Jayraj added.

"Sinhalese people are known to be stupid. But surely not as stupid as the Sri Lankan military spokes people assume them to be," Jayraj concluded.
